2020 Ford Freedom Unsung - Heroes of COVID Winners Announced
Ford Motor Company congratulates the winners of the Ford Freedom Unsung “Heroes of COVID-19” Awards, celebrating 10 individuals from across the U.S. who performed heroic and selfless acts to support African American communities during the pandemic.
The announcement and awards presentation were made virtually during the Global Automotive Summit sponsored by the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, whose founder is the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr.
Heroes of COVID-19 represent a cross-section of Americans who did everything from making masks to providing food, raising funds — even producing a film — to assist people hit hard by COVID-19.
Made possible by a grant from Ford Motor Company Fund, the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company, the Heroes of COVID-19 awards are a special edition of Ford Freedom Unsung, an annual award series that recognizes individuals and organizations that make a positive difference in their communities.
